Podcasts
If you have not heard of podcasts, they are like a radio station that instead of tuning in at a certain time, you download the programs and listen to them when you want to. Podcasts got the name from Apple's iPod because you can automatically add the programs to your iPod (or any mp3 player). You can subscribe to a podcast channel in iTunes or search for podcasts in google or any search engine, but there are also many sites that are only about podcasts to check out too.
If you have a web browser with built in RSS reader (I use Safari) you can use it to subscribe to the Bipolar In Order Channel Here and every new program will automatically be listed for you to download. There are also many RSS Newsreaders available if you do a search at www.download.com or www.versiontracker.com. You can also subscribe directly to the podcast channel in iTunes by clicking here.
The book 'The Bipolar Advantage' is also available for free in podcast format. You can check out the Bipolar Advantage Channel here.
If you have any ideas for podcasts that you would like to hear or would like to make a podcast of your own, please contact us.

- Libby's 50th Birthday Speech
- Libby is a support group leader for DBSA, Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (www.dbsalliance.org), and she recorded a talk that she gave for her 50th birthday. There is a lot of noise in the recording and I cleaned it up as much as I could, but it is so powerful it is worth listening to some tape hiss. I promised REAL LIFE, and this is as real as you can get. So without further adieu, here is Libby...
I learned to be gentler and kinder to myself. I've attended lots of seminars on many topics and this one was so well integrated; personal, professional, physical, spiritual, cognitive.
