Learning To Function

Bipolar IN Order teaches that we can learn to function better in states that once overwhelmed us. Removing all the feelings or sensations associated with a state might seem like the best response before you have learned the lessons taught in our core 8 Courses that repeat every quarter.

When you learned how to play baseball or ride a bike, can you remember how it seemed overwhelming at first? You developed some new skills and improved. Something that once seemed impossible became predictable and easy after you learned the skills. Our courses teach the difference between a disordered reaction or an IN Order response to our varied states of mania and depression.

One of the first lessons Bipolar IN Order teaches are methods for identifying the feelings of the physical, mental, emotional, social, spiritual, and career/financial parts of mental states like mania and depression.

Learning to function during the state means making a conscious effort to recognize the state and then make the effort to choose responses that are IN Order. The secret to adapting to states that once overwhelmed you is to try it when you are close to the edge of your comfort zone. Do not experiment when you are way outside your comfort zone and in complete distress. The place for growth is when you can easily take steps to get back inside your comfort zone. This is why recognizing your state earlier is essential to creating a positive outcome.

Learning to function in these states means you gain control over your ability to choose your behaviors and responses to these states. Learning to function when overwhelmed means we understand it, respond to it appropriately, and we successfully manage our interactions with others during it. It is possible to expand the range of your comfort zone beyond states that today may be overwhelming. Following the steps of the Bipolar IN Order concepts will make this a reality.
